【新居浜】愛媛県新居浜市に本拠を置くエアガン製造・販売会社「株式会社エスコート」は、2024年11月末をもって事業を停止し、再開を模索していたものの、その後の経営再建が叶わず、2025年3月19日付で松山地方裁判所より破産手続開始の決定を受けたことが分かった。信用調査機関などへの取材で明らかになった。
同社は1999年に設立され、電動ガンやガスガンといったエアソフトガン（エアガン）の設計・製造・販売を手がけてきた。専門性の高い独自設計や限定モデルで一定の支持を集め、愛好家の間では知名度も高かった。また、西条市内にサバイバルゲーム場「バンガード」を開設するなど、関連ビジネスにも手を広げていた。
しかし、近年はエアガン市場の縮小や価格競争の激化により売上が減少傾向にあった。加えて、代表者の健康問題も重なり、2024年11月30日をもって事業を停止。スポンサーや再建の道を模索していたが、経営環境の改善が見込めず、今回の措置に至ったとみられる。

[Bankruptcy] Airsoft Gun Manufacturer ESCORT Declares Bankruptcy – Total Liabilities Estimated at ¥50 Million

NIHIHAMA, EHIME – ESCORT Co., Ltd., a niche airsoft gun manufacturer based in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, has been declared bankrupt. The Matsuyama District Court formally commenced bankruptcy proceedings on March 19, following the company’s cessation of operations at the end of November 2024.
Founded in 1999, ESCORT was known among airsoft enthusiasts for its custom-designed electric and gas-powered airsoft guns. The company also operated a survival game field called “Vanguard” in the neighboring city of Saijo, expanding its business footprint beyond manufacturing.
However, declining sales in recent years—due in part to a shrinking airsoft market and intensifying competition—led to a deterioration in business performance. Compounding the financial challenges was the declining health of the company’s representative director, which prompted the business to shut down operations on November 30, 2024.
Attempts to revive the company in the ensuing months were unsuccessful, and the firm was ultimately forced to file for bankruptcy. The company’s total liabilities are estimated at around ¥50 million.
